Understanding the Difference Between Short-Term Educational Programs
Missions are designed to provide a broad notion of differences between ecosystems, through tours and presentations. They’re not usually designed with an in-depth application to a specific cluster, but more so catered to the general public.
Immersion programs are usually applied to a specific demographic cluster, allowing them to have a more in-depth notion of the topic presented. Immersions usually involve hands-on workshops, visits, and presentations. It provides a clearer notion of a “north” than a mission can provide.
Out of all the short-term educational programs, bootcamps are the most intense one. Similar to immersions, they’re designed to a specific demographic cluster but providing a larger breadth of knowledge. The programs are intense in hours and material covered, which can be overwhelming and not as efficient, depending on the person’s goal.
